I have my reasons
My purpose as a novelist and poet is to expose and heal the roots of venom and self-abandonment in Western relationships of all kinds (romantic, platonic, familial), usually by mirroring differing perspectives within the same narratives.
My writing is also interested in the impact of personal history and current setting — and the conflicts between the two. My stories and poems have taken readers to small seaside villages in Scotland, farms in Wyoming, the French and Italian Rivieras, and global capitals like Berlin and New York.
I’ve trained in workshops at Poets House and Sackett Street; I hold a BA in English Literature and Theatre from Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame, IN) and a master’s in Women, Writing, & Gender from The University of St Andrews (Scotland, UK).
